"You don't know what you are missing"

You don’t know what you are missing!
What a great weekend. We should all be proud to be part of the Geneva Lacrosse program.
Our Varsity boy’s team won the Sticks and Stones Tournament after defeating teams from Wisconsin and Illinois. The varsity team did not lose a game and beat Marmion in convincing fashion at the end of a long day for the “Sticks and Stones” tournament trophy. The JV team came in a strong second place, losing only to the areas’ top program, St. Charles. It was quite a day for Geneva Lacrosse. But this only tells you part of the story…
Our boys were the best prepared and the best cared for of all the teams in the tournament. We had a cooler of Subway sandwiches, granola bars, fresh fruit, snacks, water and Gatorades. We even had extra dry socks for the players that had to run through puddles along the way. (Yes it was a very soggy field) We had tents and ground cover, we had a caring bus driver that stayed all day and let the players warm up during their down time. We had loyal fans at every game, even at 7 am when the thermometer read about 40 degrees. All in all it was a great day to be part of the Geneva Lacrosse program.
The purpose of this letter is to invite all of you that missed this great day out to the next game and/or tournament. We have great kids, great coaches and most of all great parents and families. Come out and get involved because we have the foundation of a great program moving forward, plus it is a lot of fun!
A HUGE “Thank You” to everyone that pitched in, I look forward to the next time we can all get together.
Assistant Coach for a Day,
